By following the Oxford Wealth Pyramid – you can customize your strategy allocation based on your own risk tolerance. You can dig in your toolbox and pull out the very best tool for the job. You can take advantage of Unique Market Circumstances without worrying about taking on any unnecessary risk.

How can I learn more about The Oxford Club’s investment philosophy?

The Oxford Club relies on four basic principles of investing as a way of cutting through the noise of the markets. We call them the Pillars of Wealth. You can read about those principles in depth here.

What is the difference between the monthly newsletters and the VIP Trading Services?

The Oxford Club newsletters – The Oxford Communiqué, The Oxford Income Letter and Strategic Trends Investor – contain portfolios with lower risk profiles for long-term investors. Positions can remain in our monthly newsletters’ portfolios for years. VIP Trading Services provide faster-paced investing strategies with additional stock recommendations and speculative option plays not found in the portfolios of our monthly newsletters. And VIP picks have an average holding period of four months.

Do risk levels of the VIP Trading Services vary?

Yes. Some of the VIP Trading Services use strategies that have higher risk profiles than others. Here’s a simple guide:

What is The Chairman’s Circle Weekly Briefing?

The Chairman’s Circle Weekly Briefing is the weekly newsletter exclusive to Members of The Chairman’s Circle. It contains a summary of positions and moves that our investment gurus recommended that week. See past issues here.

What is Private Interest?

Much of what comes our way, we can share with our Members at large, whether through our free e-letters or monthly newsletters. But some opportunities we reserve exclusively for those of you in the highest echelons of The Oxford Club. In the quarterly Private Interest, you’ll findexclusive invitations and information about private deals that naturally come our way via our network. These can range from private receptions at world-class hotels to early-in real estate developments to pre-IPO stocks we’re looking into. Private Interest also covers our thoughts on the trends and mindsets behind these opportunities. See past issues here.

What is The Oxford Club’s trailing stop policy?

We generally advise Members to “cut your losers, and let your winners ride.” That way, you’re never stuck with a worthless investment… and the sky’s the limit on the ones that are doing well. Most of our services include trailing stop recommendations. The Club’s general recommendation is to close any investment position when the value of the position has fallen more than 25% from its closing high. For example, if a stock’s closing high is $100, then your trailing stop is $75. If shares then decline to close below $75, sell it. If it goes up to $150, adjust your stop upward to $112.50. Adjust your trailing stops up as your stocks move higher. To make the most of your membership, it’s important to pay close attention to every recommendation an Editor makes, and act accordingly. The Oxford Club will always update Members immediately (via email) when it has closed out of a position in one of its portfolios.

Do all services in my Chairman’s Circle Membership use the same trailing stop policy?

No. The guidance above describes the general policy but individual services may use different trailing stops, or none at all. Moreover, Editors will sometimes recommend trailing stops greater or less than 25% on individual positions, and will often recommend raising a stop as a particular position moves up. For example, when shares of a company charge sharply higher, an Editor may recommend that you reset your trailing stop to a price closer than 25% below its current price. This limits your risk on fast-moving stocks. It occurs most commonly in VIP Trading Services.

How can I keep track of all the trailing stops on so many different positions?

We understand that it can be a challenge to manage all of the information that’s available to you through The Chairman’s Circle. We recommend the trailing stop services of TradeStops.com as a reliable way to manage the stops on your positions
