Time to Invest (5 of 6)

As I explained in the Welcome IssueThe Oxford Communiqué hosts FIVE distinct portfolios, each with a unique strategy and goal.

Now that you’ve checked out all of our Investor Resources and have some hard-and-fast rules to follow, you’ll find it easier to target which portfolio to invest in first.

We recommend new investors first invest in the funds in the Gone Fishin’ Portfolio. This is a market-beating, asset-allocated portfolio with modest risk, low volatility and a high probability of long-term success. It should be the foundation of any investment program. And thanks to the flexible nature of the strategy, you don’t need a lot of money to start building your portfolio.

If you’re an investor who’s ready to play individual stocks, you can enter a position in any of the portfolio recommendations rated “Buy.”

(For information on how to choose and open a brokerage account, click here.)

(But remember the Club’s third Pillar of Wealth… Don’t invest more than 4% of your portfolio in any one position.)

You can see the most up-to-date recommendations by clicking “The Oxford Communiqué” under “My Newsletters” and then clicking “Portfolios.”

That said, there are dozens of positions in our five portfolios rated “Buy.”

That’s why I always recommend checking out the latest issue of The Oxford Communiqué to see what the most recent recommendation is.

For new subscribers, ready to move beyond the Gone Fishin’ Portfolio’s funds, that’s the best place to start.

Next you’ll hear from Oxford Club Publisher Rachel Gearhart. She’ll reveal three additional benefits of your Oxford Communiqué subscription. Be sure to check it out.

Good investing,

Alex
