Hello and welcome to Advanced Energy Strategist. I’m Dave Fessler. I’d like to take a few moments to tell you a bit about myself and this service. In case you don’t know me, I’m the Energy and Infrastructure Strategist for The Oxford Club. Prior to this, I spent more than two decades as the vice president of a publicly traded industrial technology company. There I specialized in all aspects of business development and startup, but my true interest has always been energy. That’s one of the reasons I became a degreed electrical engineer.
Several years ago, as the price of solar panels became more and more affordable, my wife and I decided to take the plunge into solar energy. We currently have a 10-kilowatt ground-mounted solar array consisting of 48 panels installed at our farm in Pennsylvania. It provides about half of the electricity our family of four consumes. We’re considering installing another 10 kilowatts since the price is now roughly half of what it was just three years ago.
One of my other fascinations has been the rise of the all-electric car. My wife has been driving the all-electric Nissan Leaf to work for the last two years. Her round-trip is about 30 miles and it costs us about a dollar a day. The money she’s saving on gasoline is more than enough to pay for the lease payment on the vehicle and the electricity to run it. She loves bypassing gas stations, oil changes and other maintenance required on a gasoline-powered vehicle.
The combination of all of these experiences, as well as my nearly 40 years as a successful energy and technology investor, have greatly shaped my investment strategy. The primary tool I use, however, is the Advanced Energy Indicator, or AEI for short. In a nutshell, it’s a special predictive formula that works much like a GPS. It crunches huge quantities of data and comes up with the likely future trajectories of individual stocks. In each official recommendation, I’ll elaborate on some of the technical data that pointed me to the stock, but essentially the AEI looks at long-term growth trends in energy sectors most likely to benefit and when the resulting jumps are likely to happen. Once I have a prospective list of stocks, I perform my own rigid analysis. I investigate past and predicted growth rates, determine which companies are of value compared to their peers, and interview CEOs, COOs and CFOs to get the hard facts on their businesses.
If I’m confident in a stock’s ability to generate long-term value for you and the rest of my subscribers, I’ll issue an official recommendation. To that end, if you log in to the Advanced Energy Strategist section of OxfordClub.com today, you can review all the current picks. If a stock is rated a “Buy,” that means it has exceeded my criteria for selection in our portfolio. No one stock is better than the others. Any or all are worth adding to your portfolio based on your investment needs. And you can look forward to new recommendations in the days and weeks ahead.
Stay tuned for my next video where I’ll tell you more about what to expect from Advanced Energy Strategist. And thanks for subscribing.
