Julia Guth has been the CEO and Executive Publisher of The Oxford Club since its inception in Baltimore more than 25 years ago.
She is also the Founder of Investment U, the educational arm of The Oxford Club. In addition, she’s the Founder and Executive Director of the nonprofit Roberto Clemente Health Clinic in Nicaragua.
Julia credits the Club’s success to its long-term global perspective, as well as the talented advisory and service teams she’s put together on behalf of its Members. Julia graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, with a B.A. in Latin American studies and holds an MBA from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management in Phoenix, Arizona.
As an Executive Vice President of The Oxford Club, George is charged with the responsibility of the Club’s business operations. He also serves on The Oxford Club’s Publisher’s Committee. He has been working in the financial publishing industry for more than 17 years. George is also a frequent emcee at our various Oxford Club conferences. According to him, meeting our Members in person is one of the most rewarding aspects of working at The Oxford Club.
Prior to joining The Oxford Club, George served as a group publisher for one of the largest financial publishers in the country, overseeing its growth from a small four-person team with two publications to a company with over 75 employees and more than a dozen newsletters and e-letters.
Nathan Hurd, an Executive Vice President, joined The Oxford Club in 2006.
He has worked with thousands of Members in his 12 years with The Oxford Club, both directly and in groups all around the world through seminars. His focus has been on empowering Oxford Club Members and prospective Members to gain financial literacy and emotional control in investing. He is known for his relentless commitment to ensuring The Oxford Club continues to shine as a value-driven financial club that operates with integrity and purpose and always puts the interests of its Members first.
Prior to joining the Club, Nathan managed U.S. accounts for a Forbes top 50 global insurance company and co-managed the endowment for a prominent university. He holds degrees in business and advanced finance.
He currently lives in Hunt Valley, Maryland, with his wife and two kids.
John works with The Oxford Club strategists, editorial staff and research team to develop and deliver to Members the most accurate and actionable investing information possible. He brings three-plus decades of senior-level magazine experience to the table, having launched and led numerous top-flight national publications, including Men’s Journal, Runner’s World and Travel + Leisure Golf. A longtime member of the American Society of Magazine Editors, John has been recognized for his work with a Henry Luce citation and multiple National Magazine Awards.
John graduated from Tufts University with a degree in English and was first trained as a copy editor at Psychology Today magazine. A champion of coherent thinking and persuasive argument, he has written opinion pieces for various outlets, including The New York Times op-ed page. Outside of the office, his primary interest is raising his twin sons to be happy, kind and accomplished young men… and maybe, eventually, Oxford Club Members themselves.
Rachel has been with The Oxford Club since 2014. She currently manages Wealthy Retirement and The Oxford Income Letter. Rachel also contributes to and oversees The Oxford Insight, where Members get an inside peek into what we’re watching and the latest news at the Club. The feature-rich Sunday version of this newsletter includes our popular Market Wake-Up Call video segment – including commentary from the Club’s strategists as well as industry experts.
Before joining The Oxford Club, Rachel worked as a technical writer for a software developer and as the assistant editor of Albuquerque The Magazine. She holds an M.A. in rhetoric and writing from the University of New Mexico, and a B.A. both in psychology and in English from the University of Delaware.
Kristin has worked as a Research Analyst and contributor to Wealthy Retirement since 2014. She provides deep, fundamental and inferential insight to the Club’s strategists.
Prior to joining The Oxford Club, she spent 10 years as a trader, analyst and portfolio manager. A self-proclaimed “recovering short seller,” Kristin began her career with a highly respected independent research firm, where she learned the value of contrarian investing.
The Club’s secret to success, according to Kristin, is its ability to marry Wall Street financial analysis with Main Street common sense.
She holds a B.A. in political science and psychology from The Ohio State University.
Steven King is the Event Director for The Oxford Club. For the past 18 years, he has traveled the world skillfully promoting and coordinating seminars, conferences and investment tours for The Oxford Club.
From sold-out events in Beijing to London to New York – and points in between – Mr. King has received praise for his wonderful presentation skills and highly efficient organizational expertise.
He was previously the manager for Alexander Green’s and Marc Lichtenfeld’s VIP Trading Services. Before joining The Oxford Club, he was an account executive for MBNA America.
Nikki Roeill, Member Loyalty Specialist, joined The Oxford Club in 2018 as the Club’s Member Experience Coordinator, working to streamline the organizational structures for both internal and external communications.
Since her transition, she is now heavily focused on the enhancement of The Oxford Club’s Member Experience entirely. This includes project management in relation to our brand identity and exposure. She is working to expand The Oxford Club’s external sponsors, partnerships, Member resources, benefits and optimizing processes in order to meet the needs for each of our Members.
Nikki comes from a background in corporate and non-profit communications, with experience in account management, journalism and event coordination. As a New York native, Nikki made her way to Baltimore, Maryland after graduating from Towson University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications and a minor in media studies.
