The Truth About Where a Stock Is Headed

Market Wake-Up Call

From Baltimore – It was a day for the Oxford Club history books…

It was the day we prepared to host an unprecedented event at our Mount Vernon Clubhouse in Baltimore.

We were excitedly getting ready to record a sit-down between two friends – who both happen to be multimillionaires, bestselling authors and history lovers. They came together in our 19th-century brownstone to tell an untold story for the ages.

The camera crew, editorial team, film producers and I were all a bit nervous. After all, one of these gentlemen is the co-author of one of the bestselling nonfiction series of all time, with nearly 18 million copies in print.

It’s funny that most people don’t know that about him…

What most people think of when they hear Bill O’Reilly’s name is a different major accomplishment… the fact that he had the top news show on TV and continues his media success today with his online show, No Spin News.

But I expect most Americans know little about Bill’s passion for history or that he co-authored hugely successful books, like Killing Kennedy, Killing Reagan, Lincoln’s Last Days and, most recently, Killing Crazy Horse.

And here’s something else you might not know about this towering author and media figure… Bill is a decades-long Chairman’s Circle Member and regularly looks to Chief Investment Strategist Alexander Green’s recommendations for his investment decisions.

This was Bill’s first time visiting the Clubhouse. As I took him on a brief tour of the five floors of this majestic mansion, he remarked how fascinated he was by its architecture.

(Meanwhile, I was thinking to myself, here’s a man that is towering in every sense of the word. At 6 feet, 4 inches tall, Bill is not one of those many celebrities who are shorter than expected in person!)

But there was a different kind of historical perspective we wanted to film on that day. Bill accepted Alex’s invitation to join him at our Clubhouse for an important financial reason. Alex is the Editor of The Insider Alert and a bestselling financial author, known best for his authoritative book The Gone Fishin’ Portfolio.

Alex had mentioned to Bill that there is only one investment strategy so effective that he would call it the “smartest investment strategy of all time.” Of course, he got Bill’s attention with that. Bill wanted to challenge that astonishing assertion and further dig into Alex’s approach.

So Alex and Bill sat down for a lively conversation in our main room (which is such a stunning setting that the producers of the popular TV series House of Cards used it for filming), and we captured it all on film.

You can see a snippet of their conversation here.
