Our ADRs continues to surge.
All our positions are profitable. And the entire portfolio is up over 20%, even though our average holding period is just 30 days.
Excel Maritime (NYSE: EXM) is up 31% since we got in three weeks ago. Raise your sell stop to $53 to protect your profits here.
Mindray Medical (NYSE: MR) is up 37% since we got in five weeks ago. Raise your sell stop to $37 here.
And our Mindray January $35 calls (MR AG) have more than tripled. Go ahead and sell half your position to lock in some profits now. We’ll let the rest ride for potentially bigger gains between now and expiration.
While these two stocks have the momentum right now, I also like the prospects for both Sadia (NYSE: SDA) and Sanofi-Aventis (NYSE: SNY).
Sadia hit a new 52-week high yesterday. And I expect the best is yet to come.
Based in Brazil, Sadia is one of the world’s leading producers of chilled and frozen foods. Its products are sold in over 70,000 locations in South America and to hundreds of other clients around the world. It has sold nearly $4 billion-worth of product in the last 12 months alone.
With revenue growth soaring, the stock relatively immune to the business cycle and little current coverage of the company on Wall Street, I expect this stock to continue trending up in the weeks ahead. Keep buying.
Sanofi-Aventis, if anything, is an even more defensive stock. Yet it too has plenty of upside potential.
Sanofi is the world’s third-largest pharmaceutical firm, specializing in vaccines as well as drugs. Its cardiovascular and oncology products are aimed squarely at the West’s aging demographic.
With $40.5 billion in revenue over the last twelve months, a rock solid balance sheet, and solid growth prospects, this remains an excellent trading stock for volatile markets.
