The Oxford Club, a leading independent financial publisher and one of Baltimore Sun’s “Top Workplaces,” is searching for the perfect candidate to fill a Managing Editor position. This role will play a critical part in launching a brand-new, one-of-a-kind product as well as growing two well-established e-letters.

We want a talented idea generator who’s excited to jump headfirst into the publishing business. You’ll be responsible for managing the editorial content for a monthly paid newsletter (potentially two newsletters) and two free e-letters. This is the perfect job for a highly motivated and ultra-organized person looking to get started with a company that’s growing fast and doing great things.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work directly with the Editorial Director and contributors to set overall tone of publications
  • Oversee the day-to-day publishing operations of the products, ensuring accuracy and on-time fulfillment
  • Polish free and paid content until it shines – focusing on highlighting core ideas within the publications
  • Manage and update reports, welcome material, bios, background copy, websites, etc.
  • Create and enforce deadlines
  • Monitor vital metrics – ensuring they meet or exceed expectations.
  • Produce top-notch editorial content for our various websites
