Rachel Gearhart: Good morning, and welcome to Market Wake-Up Call. I’m Rachel Gearhart, and today we’re doing something highly unconventional. You see, Emerging Trends Strategist Matthew Carr just released his latest research project, Dynamic Fortunes. And today we’re going to pull back the curtain and show you just how effective his new system is. In fact, we’re going to go on location in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and we’re going to blow some stuff up.

But instead of me telling you about it, I’m just going to show you the footage.

I am here on set for Matthew Carr’s newest research project called Dynamic Fortunes, and it’s going to get a little messy. We have our team here from Tripwire, and we’re in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. And let me tell you, MythBusters has nothing on these guys. Let me show you what we have in store for you today.

So Matt, tell me why we’re here in Gettysburg with a giant slingshot.

Matthew Carr: The bigger question is why not, Rachel. So we’re here because this right here – this whole slingshot and target – represents a real-world allegory for the mechanism and system behind my new investment strategy: “Profit Launch Windows.” It’s all about changing momentum. It’s all about kinetic energy and the sort of buildup that can lead to an average profit of 174% for each winning trade.

Rachel Gearhart: So let’s break down this metaphor. Next to us is a more than 6-foot slingshot. It’s more than six feet because Matt is 6 feet, 2 inches tall, and he is dwarfed, as am I, next to this giant orange slingshot. And so what I want to do is break down what the slingshot represents in terms of your investing strategy. So let’s talk about the pullback first.

Matthew Carr: The pullback is all about – like you just said – a kinetic energy buildup. We have shares of companies that get beaten down – and they’re beaten down for a variety of reasons – but we know that going forward revenue is increasing and profits are increasing. And as I always say, shares have to follow revenue and have to follow profits. So that gives us this perfect buildup, and that’s represented by the slingshot being pulled back.

Rachel Gearhart: The load and the tension in the slingshot is representing what we refer to as the green zone.

Matthew Carr: The green zone.

Rachel Gearhart: That is this buildup of momentum and kinetic energy. And then once you trigger this – and this is actually going to happen – we’re going to blow up a target about 100 feet away.

Matthew Carr: One-hundred yards.

Rachel Gearhart: One-hundred yards away – I was a track athlete and I couldn’t get that right. The target is about 100 yards away, and we are going to blow it up. We have a pyrotechnics crew and a safety crew – we’re taking this pretty seriously. We’ve got several fire extinguishers. And let me just remind you guys that if you hear some gunshots in the background, we’re actually on a live gun range right now, so please, do not be alarmed.

So, Matt, once we pull the trigger on this, what does the actual projectile represent?

Matthew Carr: So the whole parabola is the share prices responding to earnings and revenue. Like I said, we can look ahead, and we can see that revenue growth is growing 20% and earnings are growing 20%. And the shares are finally responding to that. This is similar to the setup we had last year with a company called The Children’s Place (Nasdaq: PLCE). You know shares were beaten down, and there was a lot of uncertainty in that.

Rachel Gearhart: It was in a green zone, right? Beaten down.

Matthew Carr: Right into that green zone. We had all this kinetic energy. We knew sales were increasing, we knew we were going into the holiday season and we knew things were going to be strong. But there was a lot of uncertainty over that entire industry. And what ended up happening was shares took off and within a couple of months, we closed a 695% gain.

Rachel Gearhart: And there’s that massive explosion in the red zone.

Matthew Carr: Yeah.

Rachel Gearhart: I hope you guys enjoyed that as much as I did. To see the final explosion and to see all of Matt’s latest research, check out his presentation by clicking on the link below.

That’s all for this edition of Market Wake-Up Call. I’m Rachel Gearhart, and we’ll see you next week.
